The Meaning Of Ash Wednesday

     Ash Wednesday is a faithful day when all man kind are reminded that we all are made from dust and after this life we are going back to dust.
On that great day, the priest of God will as usual apply the sign of the cross on our forehead vividly reminding us that human race are hand work of God through dust. Read the book of Ecc 3:20, Ecc* 12:7, Si*ra*ch 1:9. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of lent season and that is a time of meditation on the agony of our savior Jesus Christ for our sins.
The church which is the pillar of the true gospel is on that day reminding the catholic faithful's that every body should mend his or her evil ways & make peace with God and through confessing our sins to God with all our heart, It's also a period of Fasting and prayers helps the body and souls to concentrate with Christ so well.
So ash Wednesdays remind us all that we all are from dust we shall return to dust one day. Read the book of Si*ra*ch 17:3, and Ps 103:14.
