The Religious Hero Of The Day (#SaintOfTheDay) March 6 --St. Mary Ann of Jesus of Paredes (1614-1645)

I call the Saints heroes because they've created much impact on us, and that is what makes them a hero, Today the Church is celebrating St. Mary Ann, who was canolised as Jesus of Paredes. Mary Ann lived a short life in this world Oct.31, 1618 – *May 26, 1645,  was born in and grew close to God and his people during her time. Her father  was a nobleman of Toledo, Known as Don Girolamo Flores Zenel de Paredes, and mother was Doña Mariana Cranobles de Xaramilo, a descendant of one of the best Spanish home.

The youngest of eight, and raised by her elder sister, Mary Ann was born in Quito, Ecuador, which had been brought under Spanish control in 1534. Ann lived an imagenable life of prayer, She joined the Secular Franciscans and led a life of prayer, a strong devoty to our Blessed Virgin, and penance at home, leaving her parents’ house only to go to church and to perform some work of charity.

March 5 Is The Celebration Of St. John Joseph of the Cross (1654-1734)

Today March 5th, The Catholics Celebrates St. John Joseph of the Cross, He was very ascetic even as a young man. At 16 he joined the Franciscans in Naples; he was the first Italian to follow the reform movement of St. Peter Alcantara. John Joseph’s reputation for holiness prompted his superiors to put him in charge of establishing a new friary even before he was ordained.

Obedience moved John Joseph to accept appointments as novice master, guardian and, finally, provincial. His years of mortification enabled him to offer these services to the friars with great charity. As guardian he was not above working in the kitchen or carrying the wood and water needed by the friars.

When his term as provincial expired, John Joseph dedicated himself to hearing confessions and practicing mortification, two concerns contrary to the spirit of the dawning Age of Enlightenment. John Joseph was canonized in 1839. More About St. John Joseph Of The Cross

Does The Bible Condemn Oath? Find Answers On Oath Taking In The Bible..

The Bible does not condemn oath, but the bible tells us that (The Second commandment of God) our oath should be either 'yes or No'- any thing else you say comes from the evil one. Don't use God's holy name too freely. If you take an oath and fail to fulfill it, you are guilty before God, because you are using his name in vain. But if you take an oath and fulfill it,you are not guilty before God, because you did not use his holy name in vain. If you take an oath with the name of God, that you are not the person who committed an offence, make sure that there is truth there to avoid using the name of God in vain.You should not tell lies under oath, instead you tell the truth under oath. The truth you tell under oath should be yes or no, because with an oath a serious matter is settled (Heb.6:16).

D S-econd commandment of God *forbids false swearing or*oath taking. Swearing/Oath-taking is to-take God as witness to state something positively. it is 2 appeal/invoke the divine *truthfulness as a pledge of one's own *truthfulness. *An oath engages the Lord's name. U *shall fear D LORD ur God; u shall serve him, & swear by his name. *Any false-oath taking calls on God to be a witness to lies. So never engage in any false oath taking, or better make a good pledge in God's name. Do not swear in heavens name because that is the throne of God nor even swearing with earth because here is God's foot-stool. Unlike those that swear "through to God who made me", Hmm Dear you better stop it, Do not give in your head in course of oath taking because you can never make any single hair. "Yes or No" should be your priority before God. Any other thing beyond the oath taking is from evil or evil itself. The book of James said it, beyond anything at all it may be we should never *swear on oath, it could be by Heaven or Earth but let your Yes be yes and No be no (Jam-es 5:12).

March 3 *Saint of the Day--St. *Katharine-Drexel

Katharine Drexel was born in 1858 @ Philadelphia, has access to Pennsylvania, USA, countries...and was born into a well rich home of  Francis Anthony and Hanna Langstroth Drexel., So Katharine was so educated & rich, she even went so *WILD like the celebrities of today touching around the world with many noble organizations.

Katharine Drexel letter faced the real meaning and the purpose of mankind in this world, Which is: the world is not a bird of roses, experiencing the world of human,  after she took care of her sick stepmother at the stage of death for 3yrs, Katharine realized that even money can never buy this life back.

Katharine for long and always has a good interest for the good of the Indians at heart, she was so dishearten about what she read in Helen Hunt Jackson’s A *Century of Dishonor* and was shocked. Katharine met Pope Leo XIII & asked him 2 ^send more missionaries 2 Wyoming for her friend Bishop James O’Connor While on a European tour. D pope *replied, “Why don’t U become a missionary?” Pope answer appalled her into considering new *likelihood.

When Katharine returned home, she visited the Dakotas, met D Sioux leader Red Cloud and began her natural help 2 Indian *missions.

Katharine was sorounded with marriage, But each time she remembers the her and reply fro Bishop O’Connor, which she wrote in 1889, *The *feast of St. Joseph brought me the grace to give the remainder of my life to the Indians & D Colored.” Newspaper headlines screamed “Gives Up Seven Million!”

In 3years plus of her training, Katharina & her 1st band of nuns (Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament for Indians and Colored) opened a boarding school in Santa Fe. A string of foundations followed. By 1942 she had a system of black Catholic schools in 13 states, plus 40 mission centers and 23 rural schools. Segregationists harassed her work, even burning a school in Pennsylvania. In all, she established 50 missions for Indians in 16 states.

March 2nd: Saint of the Day--St. Agnes of Bohemia

In every March 2, The Church celebrat Agnes of Bohemia, she was a royal born by right, She was d daughter *of King Ottokar (I) of Bohemia & Queen Constance of Bohemia, Agnes had no child but she was so humble and kind giving a meaning to life's of many who are close/knew her so well.

Agnes was given out to marriage @ the age of 3yrs as a royal birth to Duke of Silesia, but passed away 3yrs later. When Agnes grew up, she *decided to enter the *religious-life.

Letter Agnes refused a proposed-marriages with Henry III of England & King Henry VII of Germany, Also with a proposal from Frederick II, D Holy Roman Emperor. Agnes made a requested 2 Pope Gregory IX for help. D pope was advising and convinced- *Frederick magnanimously said that he could not be offended if Agnes preferred D *King of Heaven to him.

Agnes letter *built a hospital 4 d poor & a residence for D *friars, Agnes sponsored D construction of a Poor *Clare monastery in Prague. Agnes & other 7 #Noble-women *entered this monastery In 1236,. More 5 sisters was sent by St. Clare from San Damiano 2 join them, & wrote Agnes 4 letters apealing her on D beauty of her vocation & her duties as *abbess.

Agnes of Bohemia became known 4 mortification, obedience & prayer. *Papal-pressure forced her to accept her election as *abbess- the title she preferred was *senior sister.* Agnes of Bohemia position never stop her 4rom cooking for D other sisters & setling D clothes of lepers. D sisters found her kind but very *strict regarding D *observance of poverty; Agnes refused her *royal brother’s offer 2 set up an endowment for D monastery.

Saint Of D Day February 27 St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows

        Today February 27 the Church celebrate St. Gabriel an Italian born by right, Gabriel was born into a large family and baptized Francis, he lost his mother when he was only four years old. *He was educated by D Jesuits &, *having been cured twice of serious illnesses, *came to believe that God was calling him to D religious life. Young Francis wished to join D Jesuits but was turned down, probably because of his age, not yet 17. *Following D death of a sister to cholera, *his resolve to enter religious life became even stronger and *he was accepted by the Passion-ists. *Upon entering the novitiate he was given the name Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows.

*Ever popular and cheerful, *Gabriel quickly was successful in his effort to be faithful in little things. *His spirit of prayer, *love for the poor, *consideration of the feelings of others, *exact observance of D Passion-ist Rule as well as his bodily penances always subject 2 d will of his wise superiors made a deep impression on every1.

February 26 Saint Of The Day: St. Maria Bertilla Boscardin Patron Saint of rejection.

    Today being February 26, The Church celebrate a well determined soul, caring, and above all a lovely soul that has a human heart. Maria BertillaIf went through allot of pains from the hands of her father, families, friends and some neighbors, have experienced how dis-appointment, ridicule and painfully to be rejected by your own family and friends, All these are all that motivated Maria Bertilla Boscardin to her vocation and we are celebrating her today as a Saint, these trials brought Maria so dear-ing to God & vowed to serve him more with determination.

   Maria Bertilla Boscardin held from Italy in 1888, She *lived in fear of her father, her father was so violent in nature, mean 2 jealousy & drun-kenness. Maria Bertilla education was not very great in the name of helping her family both @ home & working in the fields. Maria Bertilla displays many talents that caused lots of jealousy from her pears as from friends and some families.

    Maria Bertilla Boscardin joined d Sisters of St. Dorothy & was a good cook and so industrious, Maria managed to serve in the kitchen, bakery & laundry in 1904. But with love on her from the sister she re-ceived nurses’ training & began working in a hospital helping the children suffering 4rom diphtheria. In this process Maria as a nun found her true vocation, nursing many hard disturbed & ill children. The Military took over the hospital letter in World War-one, Maria Bertilla fearlessly still cared 4 patients amid-st the threat of constant air raids & bombings.
